Just wonder if they will ever start the program. Seems strange they are a 4A school with all those boys walking around and only offer basketball. I know they say space is an issue but they easily could hold practices in the middle school cafeteria and then wrestle matches in the high school gym.

I would hope they'd take care of the programs they have in already before adding more. Most sports teams there need an upgrading in facilities and space to be on par. No doubt, though, that there's plenty of idle winter boy athletes that would benefit from the opportunity to compete in something during the winter months.

Good point about taking care of the programs they already have Raw. Is the bond issue on the ballot again this April?

I haven't heard anything. I would doubt it with the economy being what it is. There's alot of people struggling financially as we all know. That being said, Festus is maybe the cheapest place to live in the state as far as paying taxes to the local school district.

It is a shame that they can't pass a bond issue to upgrade and build new facilities... they need it worse than anyone in the county... Maybe Festus could use a good ole tornado like De Soto.... That was the best thing that ever happen to that school district!
